# Join a class

> Your teacher gave you a code. Here's what to do with it.

There's one way into a class, and four ways to get there: a code, a link, the join page, or Google Classroom.

## With a code

The code is six letters and numbers, like **ABC234**. Sign in to GradingPal, select **Join a class**, type the code, and select **Join**. The class appears on your home page.

## With a link

If your teacher sent a link, open it. It fills the code in for you; sign in if you're asked, and you're in.

## If your class uses Google Classroom

You may already be in. The screen says "This class enrolls students through Google Classroom." You don't need a code; your teacher adds you from Classroom and your work goes through Classroom too.

## If the code doesn't work

* Check every character. There's no 0, 1, I or O in a code, so those are always something else.
* Codes can be reset. If your teacher reset it, the old one and the old links stop working. Ask for the new one.
