# Change your plan, add capacity or cancel

> Upgrade, buy more capacity, manage your card, or stop paying, all from Billing & usage.

### Limits and notes

* Teachers on a school plan see no add-ons, invoices, payment or cancel sections. Your school handles those.
* Plan changes are prorated. The confirmation dialog shows what's charged today and what lands on the next invoice before you confirm.
* Cancelling never deletes anything. Work past your Free limit is held, not lost.

## Where everything is

Select your name at the top right, then **Billing & usage**. The page runs down the left: **Overview**, **Usage**, **Held work**, **Credits**, **Add-ons**, **Invoices**, **Payment**, **Settings**.

## Upgrade

    Under **Overview**, select **See plans** or **Upgrade to Pro**. The pricing page shows what each plan includes; **Lite** opens **Build your Lite plan** where you toggle add-ons.

The change applies immediately. Held work unlocks on its own.

## Add capacity with credits

Under **Credits**, select **Buy credits**. A pack adds graded submissions on top of your monthly limit, never expires, and is spent automatically, oldest first, once you pass the limit. Buy credits rather than upgrading when you're over for one busy month, not every month.

## Add-ons on Lite

Under **Add-ons**, add or remove **All Assignment Types**, **Performance analytics** or **Unlimited submissions**. Changes prorate on your next invoice.

## Cards and invoices

**Payment** opens **Manage in Stripe** for your card. **Invoices** lists your receipts.

## Cancel

Under **Settings**, select **Cancel at period end**. You keep full access until the period ends, then drop to Free. Everything stays: "we never delete your past work". Work beyond the Free limit is held until you resubscribe. Until the period ends, a banner offers **Reactivate plan**.

## How to tell it worked

The **Overview** card names your plan and its renewal date, and the usage chip beside the account menu changes to match. A toast or the dialog's **You're all set** confirms.

## If something goes wrong

    Update the card in the Stripe portal first, then try again.
