# Refer a teacher

> Get your referral link, earn Bucks when colleagues start grading, and spend them on Pro time or extra submissions.

### Limits and notes

* Bucks are an in-app reward, not cash.
* Invite real colleagues. Not yourself, and not made-up accounts. The program terms say so and you agree to them once.
* Be open that you're in the program when you share. The email and social templates include the disclosure for you.

## Get your link

The first visit is a welcome page. Tick **I'll be open that I'm in the referral program when I share** and **I agree to the program terms**, then select **Get my referral link**. After that the page opens on **Your referral link** with **Copy** and **Share**. **Share** offers email with a prewritten message, social posts, and a QR code.

## What a colleague gets

Thirty days of Pro free when they sign up through your link.

## How you earn

| Grades their first class set, five or more submissions on one assignment | **+5 Bucks**  |
| Goes on a paid plan, monthly                                             | **+15 Bucks** |

Bucks land instantly. The **Your referral pipeline** section counts colleagues **Invited**, **Joined**, **Activated** and **On a paid plan**.

## Spend them

**Your rewards store** lists what's on offer with the Bucks each costs: submission packs of 100 and 250, the three Lite add-ons for a month each, and free Pro time for a week, a month or three months. Select **Claim**, read the confirmation, then **Confirm**. It lands at once.

## How to tell it worked

A **Bucks** chip appears beside your account menu once you have a balance. The pipeline moves a colleague along as they sign up and grade.

## If something goes wrong
