# Grade a writing, presentation or art assignment

Writing, presentations and art share one grading screen, and it's the one [Review and approve grades](/teachers/review/review-grades) walks through. Read that for the whole class. Here is what's on the screen.

## The three tabs

| Tab                | Holds                                                                                                                                                               |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Rubric Scoring** | The total, then a card per criterion: the level bar, the points, **AI analysis** and its **Evidence**. Click an evidence card and the passage lights up in the work |
| **Feedback**       | **Overall feedback**, any titled sections, and **Targeted comments** placed on the work                                                                             |
| **Grammar**        | The spelling, grammar, punctuation and capitals findings, when the check is on                                                                                      |

## Comments on the work

Select any text in the student's work and a pill appears: **Add Comment**. Choose it, write in the draft card that opens under **Targeted comments**, and select **Comment**. Each comment quotes the passage; click the quote to find it in the document. On a slide deck or scanned pages, where there's no text to select, use **Add comment** in the Feedback tab and say what you're responding to.

To edit any feedback section or comment, hover it and use the pencil: **Edit manually** or **Edit with AI**.
