# Schedule when feedback goes out

> Release everything at a time you choose instead of the moment you finish, and cancel if plans change.

### Limits and notes

* Scheduling is for the whole assignment. Sharing one student from their row or the grading screen goes out at once.
* Times are read in the class's time zone, shown beside the option.
* Everything reviewed by the release time goes out, including grades you approve between now and then.

## Schedule a release

    In the bar at the top of the assignment, select **Share with class** (or **Share feedback**), then **Share digitally**.

    Under **When students get it**, select **Schedule for later**. Pick a date and time. The dialog refuses a time in the past: "Pick a time in the future."

    Select **Schedule**. A toast says **Feedback goes out** with the time, and the same chip appears in the assignment bar.

## Cancel or change it

Select the cross on the **Feedback goes out** chip to cancel. To change the time, cancel and schedule again.

## How to tell it worked

The chip is in the bar. Rows stay **Ready to share** until the time arrives, then change to **Shared** on their own. Students see nothing before the release; a student who opens the assignment early sees "Your work is being graded".

## If something goes wrong

    Nobody can be reached digitally yet. Add emails, or connect the class to Google Classroom, then try again.

    The toast at scheduling time said how many still needed an email. Add their emails before the release and they're included; after it, select **Send** on their rows.

    You get an email saying so. Open the assignment and share again.
