Two situations, and they have different fixes: before grading, and after.

Check these first

  1. Is the work shared? A Shared row can’t be reassigned. Everything else can.
  2. Is there a row that says Needs student? That’s the other half of the mix-up; its Assign button is part of the fix.

Before grading

On the Match submissions screen, change the student in the row’s dropdown. For a batch scan whose pages went to the wrong person, select Adjust pages and move the pages, or Re-split to start the split again. Nothing is graded until you select Confirm & grade.

After grading

The wrong instinct

Deleting the submission and uploading it again under the right name. Reassign keeps the grades; deleting loses them.
