Limits and notes

  • Using a library rubric makes a copy on the assignment. Saving edits in the library does not change assignments already using it, and editing the assignment’s copy does not change the library.
  • Editing a library rubric that has already been graded against saves a new version; the assignment keeps the version it graded with.
  • There is no file import into the library. Rubrics get here by being built on an assignment, cloned, or created in the library’s own editor.

The three scopes

Search by name, and filter by Framework, Subject, Format and Grade level. Each card shows the subject, grades, criterion count, points, and any standards it’s aligned to.

What you can do with one

Preview

Select the card. The preview lists every criterion and level, and says where the rubric came from.

Use it

Select Use rubric. The New assignment dialog opens with the rubric ready to attach; a copy lands on the assignment you create.

Or make it yours

Clone & edit [1] copies a colleague’s or platform rubric into My rubrics, where Edit opens the editor. Pin keeps it at the top. Share to school puts one of yours under From colleagues for everyone at your school; Stop sharing to school takes it back.

Standards alignment

If some of your rubrics have no standards tagged, the library says so and offers Suggest standards. The AI proposes matching standards for each criterion; you accept or dismiss each one. If the class has standard sets chosen, the picker inside a new assignment can also draft a rubric from the standards you pick.

How to tell it worked

Use rubric opens the New assignment dialog and the setup form shows the rubric’s criteria. Clone & edit toasts Added to My Library.

If something goes wrong

Rubrics you build on an assignment appear here on their own. Clone one from your school or the platform to start.
By design. The assignment has its own copy. Edit it from the assignment’s Assignment tab.
There is no confirmation on delete. Clone from a colleague’s copy if one exists, or rebuild it.
